Dear Parents of Seventh Graders:
We are all very excited about our trip to Williamsburg next month! This tradition has been in place for more than sixty years and has long been a rite-of-passage for our students.
We will hold a meeting for parents to preview this trip and answer questions you may have on Monday, November 4th at 7:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.
The cost of the trip this year is $509 per student. Please be sure to write your child’s name on the memo line of the check. If the cost of the trip is a financial hardship for your family, please email Dr. Wilson to request a partial or full scholarship for the trip.
The trip will depart from the Pondfield Road entrance on Tuesday, November 19th. Students should arrive at 7:30am to board their pre-assigned bus. Please note that bus and work/tour groups are not the same as roommate groups. This is on purpose so students engage and work with more peers during the trip. The buses will leave promptly at 8:00am. Return: Friday, November 22nd at 5pm elementary parking lot.
In order to participate in the Washington DC Trip, the following form and payment must be submitted by Monday, October 21st on FamilyID. The Roommate Selection Form will come under a separate email.
If applicable, please upload a copy of a physician signed "Form B" Medication Administration form. The Link to this form can be found on the right hand side of this page. If you are unable to upload, return it to the Health Office, along, with any medications to be dispensed. Our contracted nurse will dispense all medications, as per physician’s instructions. Any and all forms of medication (prescribed or otherwise) must be in the possession of the nurse only. Students may not hold their own medications for this trip. You must fill out (Form B) The Medication Administration Form must be signed AND stamped by your child’s physician and then dated and countersigned by a parent/guardian. Form B is only required if medication is necessary. Form B is due by Tuesday, November 12th. This Medication Administration Form, along with all medication must be given to the Health Office by Tuesday, November 12th.
We look forward to meeting with all 7th Grade Parents on Thursday, November 4th, 2019 at 7 p.m. in the Cafeteria to discuss the details of our trip, including the program, the schedule of events, transportation and any other issues that are raised during our session. If you have any individual concerns or questions about accommodations of any kind that we need to be aware of, please feel free to contact me or Mr. Agnello.
We look forward to another fantastic trip!
Dr. Thomas L. Wilson
Mr. Jim Agnello
