In order for a student to be eligible for the Student Release Privilege (SRP) both the student and a parent must fill in and sign this application.
Once this application is approved by a Lyme-Old Lyme High School administrator, late arrival and early dismissal can begin on September 8, 2020. That is, after the Labor Day weekend.
Upon receiving approval, if a student has a study hall for the first period and/or the last period of the day, that student may arrive late or leave early.
The 4-Period Day Schedule is available on the District website for students and parents to review start and end times for periods for typical school days.
Please note that:
- on a Day A, the first and last periods are 1 and 4
- on a Day B, the first and last periods are 5 and 8
In order to get to school on time for all academic classes, students approved for SRP must remain aware of days when special events are planned. On those days, class periods are often shorter than normal.
