The W.I.A.A. and the Richland School District require the following items to be met or completed in order for a student to compete in the district athletic programs:
1. AGE LIMIT: (WIAA)
(WIAA) A student shall not have reached his/her 15th birthday prior to June 1 of the previous school year. Middle school is defined as a school with at least seventh and eighth grade levels.
2. ATTENDANCE AREA: (WIAA)
The student is a full time student living within the boundary limits for the school which they attend.
In order to maintain athletic eligibility during the current semester/trimester, the student shall be enrolled and maintain passing grades in a minimum of five (5) full-time subjects or passing six (6) if taking seven classes (WIAA policy).
4.FORMS: (RICHLAND SCHOOL DISTRICT)
Season Limitations (WIAA) After entering or being eligible to enter the seventh grade students shall have six (6) consecutive years of interscholastic eligibility. If the seventh or eighth grade is repeated, and such repetition is based upon documented academic deficiencies by the school principal, the repeated year shall not count against the student's six (6) interscholastic competitive years. Home school students are required to provide documentation of academic deficiency to be verified by the school principal.
5.FEES: (RICHLAND SCHOOL DISTRICT)
A.Participation fee – $35.00 per sport
