Greetings Parents and Guardian,
Welcome to the 2018-2019 sports season for your Colonial student athlete. Thank you for having your child be part of the sports experience at William Penn. With this experience comes great expectations as we prepare our student athletes for competition in the arena and life as well. Your continued support is a catalyst to make these moments positive!
Our Colonial School District Sportsmanship Policy reads: "Interscholastic athletics are part of the total education program of the schools. As such, they assist in the student's social and physical development and reflect upon the integrity of the district. Therefore, the highest standards of sportsmanship and ethics must be upheld in all aspects of the athletic experience!"
WPHS was awarded our 19th DIAA sportsmanship award, leading the state in awards and we just processed our 20th application with DIAA. Our goal is to continue to lead the state in a unified effort as a community to have safe, respectful contests each season with sportsmanship at the core.
Let's make the 18-19 the year of unity, strength, knowledge and a Penn Pride Attitude!
DIAA Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation: The student athlete must be cleared to participate on or after April 1 based on a physical examination conducted within 12 months of that signature. The clearance is valid through June 30 of the following school year.
