Welcome to the Washington Latin PCS Spring Athletics Registration program. Below you will find the necessary information and documentation to register your child/children for Spring sports. The registration opens on March 5th from midnight and will close on Tuesday March 13th at 6pm. Please take a moment to review the necessary information below. Complete each section and submit on time. If you are having any technical difficulty with registering, please contact the Family ID support team. If you have any questions about the Spring program, please feel free to contact me directly. Additionally be sure to go back to the initial email and review the Athletics Sports Information sheet. This will have all the information for the coaches, the tryout information and tentative practice times.
Please note, in an effort to ensure all families are treated equally and that we are properly able to facilitate all teams and coaches, we will be closing the online Spring Registration promptly at 6pm on Tuesday March 13th 2018. This is immediately following the official tryouts. This year, the Athletic Department will allow coaches and teams to facilitate interest meetings and unofficial practices, until the tryout dates - March 12th and 13th. All interested student athletes MUST be registered through Family ID before participating in any practice. For the sports and programs that are starting later in the month and beyond, the deadline remains the same, Tuesday March 13th 2018 at 6pm. Thank you in advanced for completing your registration on time.
I am looking forward to seeing our student athletes competing both in the classroom and on the field. With your support, we can continue to grow the Washington Latin Athletics Program. Join me in wishing all our Spring sports student athletes a great season.

The Washington Latin Upper School Athletics program provides a competitive, interscholastic activity for students.
Before participation may begin each student must meet the following eligibility requirements:
1. A PARENT, or GUARDIAN, must complete the FamilyID registration process.
2. Physical Examination—A current and completed District of Columbia Universal Health Certificate must be on file with the school. The student-athlete MUST be cleared to participate in competitive sports.
3. Academic Eligibility—As required and monitored by the DCSAA and PCSAA, Washington Latin students must maintain a grade point average of 2.0, or higher, to participate fully in our interscholastic athletic programs. The period of ineligibility will last until the end of the next grading period when report cards are issued.
A student must be eligible at the end of the grading period immediately preceding the sport season in which the student wishes to participate. If the student is ineligible at the beginning of the season, then the student may not try-out, or join, the team at any point during the season. If a grading period ends in the middle of a season and an athlete is declared ineligible at that time, then the student-athlete may not continue to participate with the team.
If you are unsure of your eligibility, please contact Mr. Berment via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Eligibility for the 2017-2018 SPRING season, for students in Grades 9-12, is based on the 2nd Quarter of the 2017-2018 school year.
4. Residency Requirement—Students must meet residency requirements as set in the DCMR, Chapter 27.
