The Blue Hills Technical School District is the recipient of Title I funding from the United States Department of Education. There are regulations that must be abided by in order to receive this financial support.
Upon request, the school will provide information relative to the teaching credentials of any professional staff member. This process is in compliance with the Parents Right-to-Know component of the federal legislation.
This process is confined to the following categories:
1. Whether the teacher has met state qualifications and licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas for which the teacher provides instruction.
2. Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or other provisional status through which state qualifications or licensing have been waived.
3. The baccalaureate degree major of the teacher and any other graduate certification or degree held by the teacher including the field of discipline of the certification or degree.
The United States Department of Education fully realizes that a child’s education is a shared responsibility of the school and home. In compliance with that section of the law we have developed a school-parent compact which categorizes the responsibilities of both parties. Please read and sign the compact and return it to the Academic Office at Blue Hills. If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Paul Bavuso, Academic Director at 781-828-5800, x2257.
