SWAN VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL CLASS DUES GUIDELINES & PROCEDURES PURPOSE:
The purpose of collecting class dues from each individual student is to have funds available for traditional, non-instructional school activities that the class encounters throughout their four years of high school. This money is placed in an account reserved only for that particular graduating class. Class dues allow every student to contribute a small amount which offsets rising costs, and reduces the dependence on local businesses and the community for fundraising requests. Expenses that each class may incur include, but are not limited to: float building, Prom, spirit activities, some yearbook expenses, Baccalaureate and Graduation. Remaining class funds after graduation are often used for class reunions or donated back to the school.
