Ipswich High School offers the following Spring Sports:

Boys Lacrosse 
Girls Lacrosse
Boys Tennis
Girls Tennis
Boys Outdoor Track
Girls Outdoor Track

If an athlete owes equipment, a uniform, fees, an updated physical or any other item they will not be allowed to participate until these items are taken care of. Registration will close no later than the first scheduled contest for each individual team.

The 2019-2020 athletic participation fee is $650 per individual with a $900 family maximum. Please make checks out to "I.H.S. Athletics" or make your payment online here: Ipswich Online Payment Center. We strongly encourage online payments for immediate withdrawal from your bank account (Checks may take several weeks to be deposited and cleared).

For first-time athletes or families on payment plans, there is a non-refundable Registration Fee of $325 per student-athlete, due by March 13, 2020.  If you have already paid the 2019-2020 athletic participation fee in full, the registration fee DOES NOT APPLY. The Registration Fee will then be applied to your Athletic Participation Fee. Once the $325 registration fee is paid, the balance on an individual Athletic Participation Fee will be $325.

The $325 Registration Fee DOES NOT APPLY to families who have already paid the 2019-2020 Participation Fee in full ($650/$900).

Waiver Information: Families may apply for a waiver by filling out the Free or Reduced Lunch form. The form can be found in the main office. In order to qualify for an athletic participation fee waiver, documentation must be provided.


Physical exam must be submitted to the athletic office by March 13th.
Physicals will be valid for 13 months from the date of exam. If the physical expires during the course of an athletic season, the student-athlete must submit an updated physical to the athletic office in order to remain eligible to participate.


Parents and students – athletes who plan to participate in any Ipswich High School athletic program must annually complete a free on-line concussion course. Two free on-line courses are available and contain all information required by law. The first is available through the National Federation of High School Coaches. You will need to click the "order here" button and complete a brief information form to register. At the end of the course, you will receive a completion receipt. The entire course, including registration, can be completed in less than 30 minutes.

All parents are required to complete and submit Department Report of Head Injury During Sports Season Form to the athletic director if a student sustains a head injury outside of the extracurricular activity.

6) ALL POTENTIAL LACROSSE, BASEBALL & SOFTBALL ATHLETES (BOYS & GIRLS) MUST COMPLETE THE ImPACT BASELINE CONCUSSION TEST IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE TO PLAY.  Any Athlete may take the Baseline test, if they choose.  In future seasons, it will be required for all contact sports.

The ImPACT Baseline test is a separate requirement from the NFHS Concussion Course.  A personalized code will be sent to the email address listed with FamilyID with a code to login.  You will also receive a PDF with helpful tips & tricks to review prior to taking the baseline test.
