Spring 2018 Athletic Registration will be open from February 12, 2018-March 2, 2018 registration and payment must be received by 3/2/2018 to avoid the late fee.
LATE REGISTRATION PERIOD WILL BE March 5, 2018–March 12, 2018 and WILL INCUR A $25.00 LATE FEE.
NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER March 12, 2018
The King Philip Regional School athletic program offers numerous interscholastic teams throughout the school year.
The current teams offered during the Spring Season are:
Lacrosse- Boys & Girls
Tennis - Boys & Girls
Spring Track - Boys & Girls
Boys volleyball (JV only for grades 9-11)
POLICY REGARDING PHYSICAL EXAMS FOR SPORTS
Regulations require the school to have a current physical on file for the entire season (current physicals need to be dated within 13 months of activity). In order for the physical to be valid for the ENTIRE Spring season it must be dated May 15, 2017 or later. If the physical is dated between February 19, 2017 & May 15, 2017 and it expires during the Spring season the athlete will become ineligible to play until a new physical is submitted. This is NON-NEGOTIABLE. (Example physical is dated March 24, 2017 if no new physical is submitted athlete will be UNABLE to practice or play in any game starting April 25, 2018)
The Spring season begins March 19, 2018. if you do not have an up-to-date physical in our school files by the first day of tryouts, you will be ineligible to tryout.
MANDATORY IMPACT CONCUSSION EXAM
The concussion testing is mandatory, per KP policy, for all Juniors and Freshman as well as any transfer students or any other student who hasn't taken it writhin the past 2 years. .Concussion testing for Spring Athletes will be on March 7th & March 8th after school in the Library. Space is limited so please email Cheryl Rowe (email@example.com) to schedule. Please remember it must be done before the athlete can begin practice. NO EXCEPTIONS!
COMPLETE ON-LINE CONCUSSION COURSE
Online Concussion Course – Parents and student athletes must complete a free online concussion course prior to registration. Two free on-line courses are available and contain all the information required by law. At the end of the course you will receive a completion receipt, The entire course, including registration can be completed in less than 30 minutes – below are the links to the 2 courses.- This is not the same as the baseline IMPACT test.
During registration you will be asked to sign off that you completed this course.
