Athletic and Co-Curricular Activity Registration
Participation in Interscholastic Athletics and Co-Curricular Activities is a privilege. Students are expected to act in a leadership role for members of the student body and always act in an exemplary manner that will be complimentary to the team, school and community.
Melrose High School is please to offer the following sports/activities for Spring.

Spring athletic eligibility will be based on second quarter marks and not semester grades. Please note that in-completes are counted as a failing grade until work has been successfully completed.
PHYSICAL EXAMINATION POLICY
A physical exam is good for 13 months to the day. Once a student's physical has expired, the student will no longer be eligible to participate until a new physical form is on file. We are now offering the convenience of uploading physical through FamilyId. Physicals can also be submitted to the athletic office to Ms. Daglio or via fax at 781-979-2206.
The state law requires that the student/athlete along with their parent(s)/guardian(s) complete the on line concussion course. Concussion certification must be completed PRIOR to beginning your online registration. The concussion course certification must be completed only once per school year.
NOTIFICATIONS, FEES & UPDATES
Online registration for our spring season sports will be conducted from February 1, 2020 through March 13, 2020.
Please make sure that you are using only ONE FamilyID account. If you have questions contact FamilyID at 1-800-888-5583.
The School Committee adopted a new user fee structure with an individual cap of $1,100.00 and family cap of $1,500.00.
All Athletic Fees are not due until teams have been established.
Payments cannot be made here on FamilyId. User fee payments are available online through the MCC e-school system. You will find the link under the payment section as well as on the MHS website. Please note: MCC excepts Discover and MasterCard, they do not except Visa.
All financial hardships should be brought to the attention of the Director of Athletics, Mr. Stephen Fogarty. All inquiries will be handled confidentially. Fees can be reduced or eliminated for families that qualify for the "Free and Reduced Price" school meal program, please use the MHS web site for the application.
Any request for a payment plan should be made to the Athletic Office PRIOR to the first contest. Requests for a refund should be made directly to the Athletic Office.
Refunds will be granted if: A student does not make a team or A student suffers a season ending injury prior to the first contest.
Refunds will NOT be granted if: A student leaves a team after the first contest or a student is removed from the team for a school or MIAA rule violation.
RETURN UNIFORMS / EQUIPMENT
Students must have returned all school uniforms and or equipment prior to going out for a new team or activity. Students will be held financially responsible for any equipment or uniform that is not returned or returned in poor condition.
All spring sports begin on Monday March 16th, 2020.
