Because of COVID disrupting college admissions testing this spring, PVCICS is pleased to offer SAT School Day to 12th graders on Wednesday, September 23rd during the regular school day.
The Basics: THE SAT
The SAT is a globally recognized college admission test that’s accepted at all U.S. colleges.
Official SAT Practice on Khan Academy® provides free,world-class SAT prep for all students. Students receive personalized practice plans and can access eight
full-length practice tests online. Research from the class of 2017 showed that
6–8 hours spent on Official SAT Practice was associated with an average score increase of 90 points from the PSAT/NMSQT to the SAT.
ACTUAL TESTING TIME
SAT: 3 hours*
SAT with Essay: 3 hours and 50 minutes*
*Testing times vary for students approved for testing accommodations

Also, all school rules regarding health precautions apply to this test administration. If you are supposed to be doing remote learning the day of this SAT test, you may enter school for this SAT test but must leave school upon completion of the test - i.e. you should not finish the test and then try to attend in person classes.
