S.T.O.P. Program for Grades 7 and 8

Registration Deadline 10/19/2019
Payment Deadline 10/19/2019

7th - 8th Grade

S.T.O.P. meets for seven weeks on Wednesday evenings January to Mid-March from 6:45 to 8:15 p.m. S.T.O.P. does not meet during Lincoln-Sudbury Exam week, or Sudbury school vacation week.

The sessions are made up of a variety of activities including skits, videos, and small group discussions. The goal of each activity is to increase the participant’s awareness of their own personal uniqueness and the exceptionality of the other participants.

Participants learn to identify stereotyping and constructive ways to respond. Each time we meet at a new congregation there is a presentation of that faith. This helps us to appreciate and respect the faith of those they are with.

S.T.O.P. participants also hear talks by older teens about their experiences and insights regarding prejudice and discrimination.

S.T.O.P. sessions rotate their meetings among the participating houses of worship. All S.T.O.P. participants are sent a schedule of dates and meeting places in December.

Online registration for this program is currently closed/unavailable. Please contact Jewish Learning Collaborative of Metrowest (JLCMW) for further information.
