Seattle Parks and Recreation aims to bridge the gap between communities and school by creating programs that are culturally relevant and reflective of the community we serve.
The Mercer Community Learning Center (CLC) is responsible for providing academic, enrichment and recreation programs that provide opportunities for students to have a safe and supportive environment to engage in pro-social peer interaction.
Steps to Register for Programs
Summer Q1: July 6, 2020 – July 31, 2020
- 1. Applications become available March 2, 2020
- 2. After completion of the registration families will receive an email confirmation.
- 3. School choice notifications will go out April 21, 2020 after this window the CLC office will begin processing applications in order of receipt.
Student Selection Criteria:
Tier 1: Any student who wants to take advantage of summer learning will have access to online content.
Tier 2: Any student approaching standards will be offered the opportunity to engage in online content, small group workshops, and enrichment opportunities to close the academic achievement gap.
ALL students/families will be informed of what Tier they will be assigned too.
