Orange team students will visit The Hall at Patriot Place for a fun, entertaining, interactive and educational STEM experience, which is tailored to enrich the eighth grade curriculum.
The trip will take place on Tuesday December 3 from 7:45 AM to 2:00 PM. Transportation will be by school bus.
Information from the Hall at Patriot Place about the field trip:
Developed by educators, The Hall’s STEM modules are dynamic, interdisciplinary, exciting student – centered learning experiences, which focus on football related concepts. All modules encourage essential skills such as collaboration and teamwork. Hands-on and minds-on activities make the learning enjoyable for all students regardless of their football interest level. Students will take part in the math-focused program, as they are asked to join their classmates and serve on the management team of a new NFL franchise. Using salaries and statistics from the National Football League, students analyze players’ strengths, weaknesses and salaries to assemble the best offensive unit within a budget. They are also asked to design a team logo and hold a press conference.
Please fill out the appropriate information by Sunday November 24. We will need to have an accurate count of students attending as well as the right number of meals for Red Robin.
Cost per student $ 25.00 (includes Hall fee, transportation and lunch choice at Red Robin Gourmet Burgers)
If you would rather pay cash or via check rather than online, please bring money into school to the students homeroom teacher. Make checks out to ORRJHS - please include the students name in memo)
