DUE TO COVID-19 POLICIES HAVE CHANGED. IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN SUMMER 2020 OFF/PRESEASON CONDITIONING PROGRAMS, PARENTS/GUARDIANS MUST REGISTER THE INDIVIDUAL ON FAMILY ID AND COMPLETE THE COVID-19 WAIVER. PHYSICALS DO NOT NEED TO BE UPLOADED IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN SUMMER PROGRAMS BUT WILL BE DUE BEFORE OFFICIAL PRACTICES START.
The Norwin School District will continue to offer the convenience of online registration through FamilyID (www.familyid.com) for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year. Below is information for you to review that may be beneficial:
FamilyID is a secure registration platform that provides students and families with an easy, user-friendly way to register for our programs, and helps us to be more administratively efficient and environmentally responsible. When students and families register through FamilyID, the system keeps track of their information in a FamilyID profile. Students enter their information only one time regardless of the number of activities and events they participate in. The following are points of emphasis:
All information will now be entered online
**with the exception of Section 6 (the actual physical) - this will still be a hard copy that students must have completed by a doctor. Upon completion, parents will be able to upload the form into their FamilyID account
- Section 6 forms are available to the right under the "Links" section or by visiting the Athletic Office or website www.norwinathletics.org
- Please note the actual physical cannot be completed/dated prior to June 1st of 2019
Students should not complete the Family ID Account information
**This should be completed by a parent/guardian – The Parent of Guardian should be the account owner
**Email addresses should be those of the parent – keep in mind that emergency contact lists are created from this information
Only create one account per student (do not create a new account for each sport or school year)
**If you forget your login credentials, please contact the FamilyID help line for assistance
**Creating additional accounts may cause certain accounts not to be approved
If students wish to receive a sports physical with their family physician, only Section 6 of the PIAA CIPPE is needed (all information on other Sections can be completed when registering with FamilyID). Again, the physician must complete and sign the Section 6 form and date after June 1, 2019. Students and/or parents will then be responsible for uploading a signed and dated copy of Section 6 to their FamilyID account.
**Only the Section 6 of the PIAA CIPPE will be accepted. Other physician physical forms will not be accepted.
Please plan to complete your entire registration in Family ID (including uploaded Section 6) at least one (1) week prior to the start of your season. You will receive email notification when your registration has been received AND APPROVED. All late registrations or those not receiving an approval email, will not be guaranteed the opportunity to practice on the first day of tryouts. You can always check the status of your child's Athletic Participation Clearance Status by logging into your FamilyID account and selecting "VIEW OR EDIT MY REGISTRATIONS". Select the "SUMMARY" tab at the end of the current registration.
All athletes must register and complete the COVID-19 Assumption of Risk prior to being allowed to participate in summer conditioning with their teams.
Marching Band members must complete registration. You do not need to submit a physical.
Norwin Sports physicals will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2020. These examinations are free. The PIAA Section 6 Form will be available at the door. The times are as follows and are for the grade your athlete will be entering in the fall:
Schedule: 7th/8th grade: 8:00-9:00 AM 9th grade: 9:00-10:00 AM 10th grade: 10:00-11:00 AM 11th grade: 11:00-12:00 AM 12th grade: 12:00-1:00 PM
