CCAL Cheer Program: CCAL Cheer is offered to all 7th and 8th grade student-athletes (5th & 6th grade students may participate on the Jr. Lynx Poms team if interest allows). This program will hold tryouts, and If the level of interest exceeds our capacity cuts may be necessary for this program. You do NOT need to register before tryouts have concluded and teams are chosen, but you must either have a valid athletic physical on file with us or present a copy of a valid athletic physical in order to participate in tryouts. If you do not have a valid athletic physical on file with us, simply bring a copy to the first day of our clinic/tryout. The Monument Academy Cheer team will be active over multiple athletic seasons during the school year cheering at many of our athletic events. The team holds tryouts during the spring for the following school year. Voluntary practice sessions begin during the summer, and the team continues to operate well into February each year. There is no set fee for the Cheer team, but there are considerable expenses related to equipment, uniforms, and competitive venues. Fundraisers help to offset some of these costs, more information will be communicated at the mandatory parent meeting held in March. Required Athletic Forms: Parents of student-athletes participating in the CCAL Cheer program offered at Monument Academy must complete, electronically sign, and submit all necessary forms, agreements, and documentation required for the program before student-athletes will be permitted to participate. Electronic versions of the athletic physicals can be uploaded under the "Physicians" section of the registration.
Volunteer Parent Drivers: You may have seen this listed as a separate program on the main Athletics Registration page, but if not, and you are interested in helping us transport our student-athletes to various competitive events, you can select this program after you finish registering for your program.
