The PSAT/NMSQT is the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. The PSAT is a great primer for the SAT, and even the ACT, but it’s more than just a trial run. PSAT scores are used to identify National Merit Scholars and award merit scholarships. More than 3.4 million high school students (mostly juniors and sophomores) take this nationwide, multiple-choice test every year. Each year we invite juniors as well as sophomores in English 10 Honors and CC Regents Algebra 2 to take the PSAT.
The Student agrees to register for the PSAT in a timely manner. The student also agrees to review for the PSAT by referring to such resources as the College Board website.
The Parent/Guardian agrees to submit payment for the PSAT/NMSQT upon completing the student/parent agreement. The parent also realizes the fee for the exam is not refundable.
The School agrees to provide a safe, comfortable testing environment for all students during the administration of the PSAT/NMSQT.
