Hello! Welcome to the new Kendall Athletic Department's registration process.
There will be an emphasis on introducing and teaching the educational goals of the Kendall Central School Interscholastic Sports Program. The focus will be on sportsmanship, teamwork, skill development, and commitment. Each athlete will play a practical amount of time in each contest if students meet the requirements set forth by the coach and district (attitude, work ethic, attendance, sportsmanship).
All the paperwork required for sports registration is now online. When you register your child for the desired sport, you will need to review the policies and then sign the agreement. It is expected that you and your child will review the policies and electronically sign the agreements afterwards.
Once you have submitted everything required to participate, your child will then need to be approved by the athletic director and high school nurse before they are eligible to participate. Your child is not allowed to practice until they have been approved.
Only coaches may suggest a modified athlete be advanced to JV or Varsity sports level. All modified athletes must complete the athletic placement process in order to participate in JV or Varsity sports. The athletic placement process includes having a specific maturity score, also known as a tanner score. The maturity score is determined by a medical provider. It also consists of completing a set of physical assessment standards based on their age. If the athlete is unable to complete this process they will remain on the modified sports team. If a modified athlete who was previously approved has a birthday before the next sport season, the athlete may need to test again and meet qualifications on the new age such as physical assessment and maturity test.
