HOW TO JOIN: This is to provide student-athletes with access to the Google Classroom I created as a resource. It is not mandatory by any means, and you do not need to do anything else here on this FamilyID page! Simply click this link https://classroom.google.com/h, log in to your Millis Google account, select "join a class", and enter the code vwbw63b!
(Below is a repeat of the letter sent via e-mail invitation)
Dear Millis Student-Athletes and Families,
I hope you are all healthy and have been able to find some level of adjustment to this strange current reality that we found ourselves in before we even really knew what was happening!
Now that you've been introduced to remote learning, and I've learned some things myself about working from home, I wanted to create a page where I can share what I hope are useful tips, articles, workout or rehab ideas, maybe even write a few blogs myself?!; and where you can ask questions or tell me what kind of info you might be looking for while we are on this unexpected break from sports. So, I have created a Google Classroom that will hopefully serve this purpose!
To join, you must be logged into your Millis Google account, visit https://classroom.google.com/h, and when you select "join a class", enter the code: vwbw63b.
Please note, you do not need to register for this on FamilyID- that was just the easiest way for me to send the classroom info out to all 2019-20 Millis student-athletes!
I am also going to be holding "office hours" from 2:30-4pm, Monday through Friday, similar to when we are in school (and conveniently, when my toddler is napping here at home!)- during these hours I will be available on my computer in this classroom and on e-mail to respond in real time. I can set up "telehealth" style appointments via Google Meet for injury consults, answer questions, provide home exercise plans, creative workout ideas, and so on! I'd also be happy to facilitate group/team workouts too, as another idea!
I encourage everyone to also follow me on Twitter @MillisMohawkAT, since that's what I usually use for quick updates and info posts.
My e-mail address is email@example.com. You can e-mail anytime and I will get back to you as soon as I can, and if you e-mail during "office hours" you can expect to hear back within that same 2:30-4pm time frame.
I'm sure you share my feelings that I can't wait for sports to be back, and be back to work and business as usual, and I hope I can help you in any way to be prepared for when that wonderful day is here!
Be healthy and safe!
