We are very excited to announce that we are moving to an on-line athletic registration process. The registration is now open for Winter Sports ONLY. Please follow the link below and complete the registration.
If your student participated in a fall sport and you have already created a FamilyID logon and family profile, you will just need to log in, choose your student from your family list and apply them to a sport. Once you have completed the form, both the Student and the Parent/Guardian will receive an email letting you know your registration has been submitted.
However, you are not yet cleared to participate in that sport. In order to be cleared, you will need to have a current physical on file, be a student in good academic standing and have made financial arrangements to submit athletic fees.
Once you have been physically, academically and financially cleared, both the Student and the Parent/Guardian will receive an email letting them know that they are now cleared to participate in all aspects of the sport including practice, scrimmages and games.
As with automating any process, there may be some pitfalls that we have not anticipated. In the event you have any questions or concerns while completing the registration, please contact Jae Smith in Athletics Office via email at email@example.com or phone at 617-926-7748.
REQUIRED STEPS TO BE CLEARED FOR SPORTS
1 ) Fill out the registration. (Congratulations: once you press submit below, and submit on the checkout screen you will have completed the registration!)
2 ) Complete payment for fees.
Checks or money orders can either be mailed or dropped at:
Watertown High School Att: Mrs. Jae Smith, Athletics Department, 50 Columbia Street Watertown, MA 02472
We have also launched a new online payment process that allows you to pay by echeck or credit card. Once you have completed your athletics registration and pushed submit, you will be prompted with an option to go to the online payment center. Please note: online payments include the following fees: 50 cents for echecks and 2.95% ($9.50) on credit cards.
3 ) All student-athletes must have a physical examination from their doctor on file. The physical examination must have taken place within 13 months in order to practice or play and should be turned in to the main office. This is a MIAA requirement and will be strictly enforced.
Please check the renewal date of your physical examination now and make appointments in advance so your son or daughter does not miss any athletic time. The Nurse, Joie Mara, may be reached at 617-926-7758 for any questions regarding student physicals.
Submit your physical form either electronically or as a hard copy. A hard copy can either be dropped off in the Guidance Office or mailed to:
Watertown High School attn. Joie Mara, School Nurse, 50 Columbia Street Watertown MA 02472
These steps must be completed no later than Wednesday November 22, 2017 in order to be cleared for the 1st day of practice.
Once you have been completely cleared to participate in fall sports, you will receive an email from the Athletics Department letting you know you are now eligible to participate.
