High School Athletes - (Incoming 9th-12th graders)
The Junior Summer Program is tailored toward motivated individuals looking to improve upon their skills and to maximize their physical abilities for the upcoming rowing season. Focus will be given to endurance, strength and overall performance conditioning. This class will focus on technique, synchronization, timing, drills, and blade work. The coaches will work with all rowers throughout the session to offer drills/workouts and grow rowing knowledge and skills. Due to tide on The Neponset River, the 1st and 3rd week will be spent on the water while the 2nd week will be spent on land. Land training will consist of fine tuning technique and conditioning on the ergs and strength training circuit work.
Time: 8:00 am – 10 am
Dates: August 6th– August 24th (Monday – Friday)
Cancellation Policy: We practice in all weather except active lightning storms or other extreme conditions. Because our weather changes rapidly, rowers should assume practice will be held regardless of the weather and dress appropriately, unless they are told by a member of the coaching staff that practice has been cancelled.
