Grace Christian School's Athletic Teams are an integral part of our students all-around academic experience. Grace Christian works to model Christ like behavior both on the competitive field and off. Grace sponsors 13 teams in 8 sports, under the direction of Athletic Director Joe Moreau. Our coaching staff is highly qualified and offers many years of experience for our student athletes.
Grace Christian competes in Class B of the LHSAA (Louisiana High School Athletic Association), our state governing program for high school athletics. Our teams routinely place high at the state level in many different sports. For more information you may contact our Athletic Director, Joe Moreau at Joe.Moreau@gcsla.org
Grace Warrior Athletic Club (GWAC) is the parent booster club for the athletes of Grace Christian School. Started in 2011 to support our student athletes. One of the primary functions of the organization is to host an annual athletic banquet for GCS athletes. The banquet is held each year in early May, and features talented and inspiring athletes who speak about their experiences in the sports world. Past speakers have included Warren Morris (LSU Baseball), Kevin Mawae (LSU Hall of Fame and NFL player), and Hollis Conway (ULL track and field and Olympic medalist). This year's Athletic Banquet will be held on May 4th, 2020. The GWAC membership fee is included in the Athletic dues, which provides for one (1) t-shirt. Additional t-shirts maybe purchased for $15-$17. Parents of Junior High Students who do not play varsity, and therefore do not pay the full Athletic fee may purchase t-shirts also.
Registering: We encourage you to register your athletes in 'every' sport they may be interested in. However, registration does not guarantee they will make the team...the Head Coach of each sport will ultimately determine the final roster. Selecting all the sports of interest will save you the time of registering more than once.
Grace Warrior Physical Night: Grace Warrior Physical Night will be held at the Grace Gym on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019 from 5-6:30 p.m. Doctor: Dr. Johnson and Staff Cost: $25 per athlete
