Franklin High School Fall 2020 Registration

  • Franklin High School is pleased to offer the following sports for the Fall 2020 season: Please register your child for 1 sport. Please note that the following sports are being moved to the February 22nd-April 25th season: Football, Volleyball, Cheerleading, and Unified Basketball.

The new start date for the fall 2020 season is now Friday, Sept 18th. Physicals may be mailed - or handed in on or before September 15th. 

Students who sign-up for a particular sport, and DO NOT make the roster of that team, may transfer to Cross Country.  

1. The student-athlete and a parent/guardian must take the online Concussion Course at, and then check the appropriate box when registering on FamilyID. Our Athletic Department and Training Staff take concussions VERY seriously and hope you will too. Thank you!

3. Bring in a copy of a Valid Physical into the Athletic Department BY September 15th. Physicals are valid for 13 months based on the date of the physical. 

During the first few weeks of practice, most Freshmen and Juniors will take their concussion baseline Impact Test. This computerized test is taken every other year and is administered by our Athletic Trainer. You do not have to sign up for this test. Our Athletic Trainer will work with your child's coach to schedule this.


Parents and student-athletes, who plan to participate in any Franklin High School athletic program, must complete a free on-line concussion course. Please view this 5 minute video.

To enroll on a team, this FamilyID online registration form must be completed and a hard-copy of the students' current physical must be submitted to the ATHLETIC OFFICE before September 15th. The MIAA now requires that all student-athletes have up-to-date/current physicals on file during an entire sports season. Any student-athlete whose physical expires in season will not be allowed to continue participating until a new physical is on file with the Athletic Dept and school nurse. 


Massachusetts is in the midst of an opioid epidemic and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) has developed educational materials to partner with schools across the state in sharing key information and resources with students, parents and school personnel. Because of the risk of injury and the subsequent need for pain management, student-athletes may be at risk for opioid misuse. Please take the time to review this material with your child. 

Will be organized during the preseason through the FHS Athletic Department. The test will be taken at organized times in the FHS Computer labs. Dates and times will be communicated by coaches.


All sports participants MUST pay a user fee to the Town of Franklin.  All Athletic User Fees must be paid during the 2nd week of athletic practices. ALL USER FEES MUST BE PAID ON-LINE THROUGH UNIBANK. 

Financial assistance for the athletic fee is available for those that participate in the free/reduced lunch program. Please contact the Athletic Director if you need financial assistance in paying the athletic user fee. 

When registration has been completed, you will receive an email confirmation letter from FamilyID.
