Welcome, Spartans! Our Fall sports season is currently scheduled to begin Wednesday, August 19 for football and Monday, August 24 for girls and boys cross country, girls and boys colorguard, girls and boys golf, girls soccer, girls swim & dive, and girls volleyball.
BEFORE STARTING THIS REGISTRATION, PLEASE NOTE WE WILL NOT APPROVE ANY REGISTRATIONS THAT ORIGINATE FROM A STUDENT EMAIL ACCOUNT! A PARENT OR GUARDIAN MUST REGISTER THEIR ATHLETE.
All athletes must have a current physical and baseline concussion test on file in the office. Physicals are good for two years from the date of the exam, and cannot expire during the season. For this fall only, we are waiving the two year expiration of baseline concussion tests, so if an athlete has a test of file, it will be considered current.
If an athlete has no concussion test on file, concussion testing will be offered in August, and tentatively scheduled for Aug 17 12:00-2:00pm, Aug 18 12:00-2:00pm, Aug 19 4:00-6:00pm, Aug 20 4:00-6:00pm, Aug 21 4:00-6:00pm, and Aug 24 am tbd. The concussion baseline test takes about one hour to complete and only 30 students can test at one time. Please note that lines have been long.
If you are unsure if you have a valid physical or concussion baseline on file, please email Sarah Bullock in the Athletic office (email@example.com). YOU MUST HAVE A VALID PHYSICAL and CONCUSSION BASELINE ON FILE BEFORE YOU TRY OUT FOR A TEAM.
Once you are on the 'official' roster, please pay the $250 participation fee to the accounting office (Ms. Spray) or on-line at this link: https://wa-bainbridge.intouchreceipting.com/ by the first contest, but no later than EDIT March 15, 2020. the roster.
Scholarship: In order to receive reduced prices for school and activity fees at BHS, your family should fill out a "Household Application for Free and Reduced Price Meals" form provided by Food Services. You may also pick up this form at the BHS front desk. Section 6 of this form offers families the opportunity to receive other benefits including reduced pricing for school fees and activities payments. Families who qualify for free lunch need only pay 25% of the participation fee and reduced lunch only pay 50%.
Thanks to significant fundraising efforts, there are funds available for families who may not qualify for fee reductions through the food services process, but require consideration for temporary financial aid. Please email one of the Associate Principals for scholarship requests.
