FA18-P06 Portrait Evening Class with Jill Pottle 7 classes 5:30pm – 8:30pm Thursdays, September 20 - November 8 (No class Oct. 18)
Have you always wanted to do portraits and did not know where to start? Have you done portraits and would like a better understanding of techniques in order to improve your skills? This is the class for you. During the first half of the class students will learn basic anatomy of the skull, muscles and neck. Attention will be given to how these features wrap around the form. Initially we will work from photographs, using pencil, charcoal and chalk to help create a strong structure, while developing the shapes in order to achieve resemblance to the subject. The second half of the class we will use a live model to pose for life drawing. Model will be available for only 3 of the weeks. Cost includes model fee. Beginners welcome but must have at least one general basic drawing class.
