ONLINE REGISTRATION This is the online registration form for Elmira High School Athletics. To be eligible the first day of practice, this online registration form must be completely filled out and submitted.
Coaches will get updated lists of athletes that are “cleared” to participate daily.
In addition to submitting this online registration form, all athletes will need the following to begin practice:
- Current Physical on file – physicals become outdated every 2 years. Athletes may practice up until the physical expires. If outdated, a new physical is required prior to practice. The bookkeeper can tell you if you need a physical.
- Academic eligibility verified – academic eligibility will be verified by the Athletic Director after sign-ups and must be confirmed prior to the first competition. The athlete must have passed 5 classes the previous semester to meet OSAA standards.
- All outstanding fees paid: $125 fee paid in full, or $75 minimum paid – $50 balance is due 3 weeks from the first day of practice, or athlete will become ineligible, or $75 minimum payment and an EHS Booster Club Athletic Financial Assistance form.
ATHLETIC FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE The criteria for applying for financial assistance is that the student/family must completely fill out an EHS Booster Club Athletic Financial Assistance form and attach a 500 word or less essay (to be completed by the athlete), to be considered for a scholarship. The Athletic Financial Assistance form can be picked up from the EHS Bookkeeper.
DEADLINE FOR TURNING IN A FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE APPLICATION IS the Friday following the first day of practice of a given season. Return the application and attached essay to the EHS Bookkeeper.
As the student athlete requesting a scholarship, please write on a separate sheet of paper, a short essay (500 words or less), answering the essay question that is listed on the Financial Assistance Application. Please include what sports you play and if you would be willing to volunteer with the Booster Club and/or the school. An essay must be attached with the application to be considered for a scholarship.
***Note: If you did not finish the last sports season that you previously played in, due to anything other than injury, you are ineligible to apply for a scholarship for the next sport season.
