Chess Club for Grades 1-5 The Willard Chess Club is ready to start another session! The importance of chess to brain development and academics has long been accepted. Research shows that chess strengthens a child's mental clarity, fortitude, stability, and overall health. Vadim Martirosov, a highly experienced Chess Master, will teach the game of chess for a portion of the period, followed by time for chess matches between the students. Mr. Martirosov has been our chess instructor at Willard for the last three years and taught chess full time in the US for the last twenty plus years to all levels of students from beginner to master level. He brings an excitement and enthusiasm that makes the game of chess fun for all ages! Chess Club is run throughout the year, in three sessions. Families must register for each session separately. Please look to sign up early to avoid missing out and contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions. Registration opens Friday, March 2nd at 7:00 am.
