To enhance our learning of rocks and minerals in science, we will be traveling to Crystal Cave in Kutztown, on Friday, Nov. 8th. We will take our own personal tour of the caves! The students and I are very excited to see all the rocks, minerals, and crystal formations we have been learning about up close.
Please fill out your child’s permission slip, and return it to school. Please pay the fee(s) on the Family ID
website ($14.00 per child) by Wednesday, October 16th.
WE will be looking for 3 or 4 chaperones. Please note that updated clearances must be on file at the school office BEFORE you can volunteer. Chaperones must send their fee of $11.00 with their child's permission form.
There is a gift shop, and students may bring NO MORE THAN $10 to purchase items, if you choose. There are items available for as little as fifty cents, should your child really want to purchase something. They will also be receiving some gems simply from going on the trip.
Weather permitting, we will eat lunch outside at the cave and from there we will explore the surrounding nature/rock trails. Please pack a disposable lunch (including a drink for the day) for your child that will be eaten at the picnic pavilion across the street around noon.
We are looking forward to an enriching trip! Please contact me with any questions and if you are interested in chaperoning!
- You must have your CLEARANCES up-to-date.
