All participants in the KHS athletic program must have a yearly physical examination (within the last 13 months) before he/she can participate in any sport activity, including cheerleading. Only one physical is needed each school year no matter how many sports the student plays.
We prefer all physicals to be done during the summer months (July and August) prior to the start of the new school year.
Students entering their sophomore year may use the admission physical required by the State of Connecticut for their athletic physical as long as the physical is current. All physicals must state that the individual can participate in interscholastic sports
It is the student athlete's responsibility to turn the completed Sports Physical Form into the KHS Nurse's Office. Student athletes will not be allowed to participate in any athletic activities until a current sports physical in on file with the Nurse.
Physicals should be given by the athlete's family physician. The payment for the physical is the athlete's responsibility.
