2020 season 1 - Fall Sports High School Registration

Welcome to Roosevelt High School's online-only sports registration. This system provides convenience and efficiency for you, the coaches and the athletic office. After you sign up once, it's very easy to register for other sports or add siblings.

This form must be filled out by the parent/guardian and athlete together.

Fall sports practices begin August 17th. Completing this online registration and having a current physical form on file is required before an athlete can practice or participate in pre-season workouts.

OSAA rules mandate that all student athletes have a physical examination every two years and turn in a specific form. If the athlete has not had a physical within the past two years or the physical is expiring, please schedule an exam and have your medical provider complete the required physical exam form (found in the links section on the right hand side of this page). We also have these forms in the Athletic Office. By Oregon law we need a hard copy of the completed physical form. You can submit your forms into the Athletic Office or email them to Sanjay Bedi at  Parents should keep a copy of the physical.

If you would like options for getting a sports physical, see links to right.  Portland Urgent Care (4160 NE Sandy) offers sports physicals for $20 - scheduled appointment and $25 for walk-ins.  Roosevelt, Franklin, Madison and Cleveland HS's student health centers are also a good low-cost or no-cost option.

PPS does not provide medical insurance for Athletics. If low-cost Student Health Insurance Coverage is needed, please see links to right.

PIL: The sports fee is $35*/$200 per PIL sport. The cap is $400 per school year per athlete and $800 per family per school year. A reduced fee is available if you qualify for Free or Reduced Lunch. You can pay the PIL sports fee through School Pay or drop off payment at the Roosevelt School bookkeepers' office. If an athlete needs to quit a sport due to injury or academics three weeks or less into the season, a partial refund will be arranged.

Academic requirements:
Students who fail to meet any of these 3 requirements are not eligible to participate in sports.
1) student must have passed 5 classes the previous semester. 2) student must be enrolled and passing 5 classes in the current semester. 3) student must be making satisfactory progress toward graduation by earning the minimum number of credits: 4.5 credits by the start of 10th grade, 10 credits by the start of 11th grade, 17 credits by the start of 12th grade.

In addition, student must have earned the following GPA the previous quarter: 2.0 with no F's or 2.5 with one F. Students who do not meet this requirement may register and participate but will be placed on academic probation for the current quarter and must attend study sessions.
