Project GROW - Getting Ready for Our World
Project Grow offers high quality preschool education to Marion, Mattapoisett and Rochester children age 3 years to 5 years. Children must be 3 years of age prior to September 1 and must be no older that 5 years of age before September 1.
Project Grow is an integrated learning environment, 51% of the children enrolled meet the criteria of typically developing and 49% of the children enrolled are on a Individualized Education Plan (IEP) varying in different levels of service.
Project Grow recognizes parents and caregivers are children’s first and most important teachers. Parent involvement, through contributions of time and talent to the classroom, including participation in parent education opportunities, is integral to the program. Project Grow uses multiple curriculum with the primary focus being the High/Scope Plan-Do-Review model. The Massachusetts Early Learning Standards and Framework is the guiding document in addition to Responsive Classroom Social Emotional Curriculum.
The Project Grow application selection process is a blind process. All identifying information is obscured per Old Rochester Regional School District's policy. Selection is based on the following criteria in no particular order: considered educationally at risk, no preschool experience, family income, age, and gender. All efforts are made to create a well balanced class.
