2020 Fall Sports Registration

Welcome to Grant High School's online-only sports registration. This system provides convenience and efficiency for you, the coaches and the athletic office. After you sign up once, it's very easy to register for other sports or add siblings.

This form must be filled out by the parent/guardian and athlete together.

Fall sports practice starts....TBD.
 Completing this online registration and having a current physical form on file is required before an athlete can practice or participate in workouts.

OSAA rules mandate that all student athletes have a physical examination every two years and turn in a specific form. If the athlete has not had a physical within the past two years or the physical is expiring, please schedule an exam and have your medical provider complete the required physical exam form (found in the links section on the right hand side of this page). We also have these forms in the Athletic Office. By Oregon law we need a hard copy of the completed physical form. You can submit your physical clearance forms by attaching the document to your registration.  If you are having problems uploading your physical forms, please contact Erin Cole at  Parents should keep a copy of the physical.

If you would like options for getting a sports physical, see links to right. Franklin, Madison and Cleveland HS's student health centers are also a good low-cost or no-cost option.

PPS does not provide medical insurance for Athletics. If low-cost Student Health Insurance Coverage is needed, please see links to right.

PIL: The sports fee is $200 per PIL sport. The cap is $400 per school year per athlete and $800 per family per school year. A reduced fee is available if you qualify for Free or Reduced Lunch. You can pay the PIL sports fee through School Pay or drop off payment at the Grant High School bookkeepers' office. Please DO NOT pay your sports fee until after teams are formed. If an athlete needs to quit a sport due to injury or academics three weeks or less into the season, a partial refund will be arranged.

Club Sports (Water Polo, Lacrosse, Skiing, Snowboarding): Fees, fee waivers, and refund policies vary by sport. Each club manages their registration separately.

Academic requirements:
Students who fail to meet any of these 3 requirements are not eligible to participate in sports.
1) student must have passed 5 classes the previous semester, or did not pass 3 classes in a 4x4 schedule. 2) student must be enrolled and passing 5 classes in the current semester, or they are not taking at least 3 classes or passing at least 3 classes in a 4x4 schedule. 3) student must be making satisfactory progress toward graduation by earning the minimum number of credits: 4.5 credits by the start of 10th grade, 10 credits by the start of 11th grade, 17 credits by the start of 12th grade.

In addition, student must have earned the following GPA the previous quarter: 2.0 with no F's or 2.5 with one F. Students who do not meet this requirement may register and participate but will be placed on academic probation for the current quarter and must attend study sessions.
