As we prepare for the reopening of schools in the fall, we are opening access to FamilyID for the purchase of bus passes at this time. This will allow you to prepare for the school year as you deem appropriate for your particular situation.
The Transportation/Bus User Fee for students in grades Kindergarten to Grade 12 for the 2020-2021 school year will be $150.00 per student with a family maximum of $600.00.
There continue to be established walk zones previously established for Greenmont Avenue Elementary School, Richardson Middle School, and Dracut High School. Students living within a walk zone may not utilize the school bus. For specific street information, please review the street lists located on the district website at:
For students in Kindergarten through Grade 6 who reside two (2) or more miles from their assigned school, there is no user fee required to ride a school bus. A list of streets 2 or miles from school is also available on the school website using the link above.
Students who are eligible for Free or Reduced Lunch will be issued a bus pass at no charge. Please be reminded that you are required to submit a new application each school year to continue to receive meal benefits. The application is available at:
Paper applications are also available at each school.
You will need your Student ID number to register. The Student ID# is provided by your student’s school. Please note that each student must be registered separately in FamilyID and payments must be made through SchoolBucks at the end of the registration process.
Changes for the 2020-2021 School Year:
1. Parents are no longer required to pick up the student bus pass at the district office. Bus passes will be sent to the schools prior to August 24, 2020 for distribution.
2. For those students who purchased a bus pass in the 2019-2020 school year, a credit of $54 will be available in FamilyID due to the COVID-19 school closure. Please select the credit when applying for your new bus pass.
Please note that this credit is only applicable to those who purchased a bus pass for 2019-2020. Students who received a 2019-2020 bus pass at no charge are not eligible for the credit.
