Fall Try-Out Dates: The first available day to begin fall sports activities is Friday, August 16, 2019 (Football) and Thursday, August 22, 2019 (All other sports). 1. Physical Exams- No student may participate in any practice, tryout or game until a physical exam has been submitted to the Stoughton High School Nurse's office. The physical exam must NOT be dated more than 13 months old through the course of a given season to be eligible to participate. Once a physical exam is over 13 months old the student will be declared ineligible until a valid physical (under 13 months old) is submitted to the Nurse's office. Take this opportunity to double check with the Nurse's office that your most up-to-date physical is on file. If you have been examined within the 13 month period and the Nurse does not have a copy, please contact your primary care and request a copy so the Nurse may clear your son or daughter. If you can not get an appointment, urgent care is an option for those willing to pay an additional fee for the service. Students and Families should make every effort to confirm an up to date physical is on file with the school nurse by the final day of school June 19, 2019. In order to be eligible for Day #1 of your sport's tryouts your completed, up-to-date physical needs to be turned into the Nurse's Office by August 19, 2019.
2. Online Registration Form- Students can not try-out or participate in any sport until they have submitted a FamilyID registration form. If you are having technical difficulties please contact FamilyID for assistance at 781-205-2800 x1. In order to be eligible for Day #1 of your sport's tryouts and avoid the late registration penalty, your online registration needs to be completed by Wednesday, August 14th for Football and Tuesday, August 20th for All Other Fall Sports.
3. Athletic Participation Fee - This year's cost for every student to participate in a sport is $200, However it is $300.00 for any student participating in Swimming or Ice Hockey. Please read details about the Athletic Fee & Payment Plan options listed in the "Athletics Handbook" by clicking the link on your right hand side of the page. NOTICE: If a student has an outstanding athletic fee balance from a previous school year or season, they will not be considered eligible to participate until the payment has been submitted. Fall athletic fees are due prior to the team's first scrimmage or game (August 30th), students will not be eligible to participate in games until the payment has been submitted in the form of cash or money order or online payment.
The balance listed on the family ID page should be paid online, or in the High School Office (cash or money order only). Please click the link in the bottom right hand corner of the web page to make an online payment.
4. Concussion Course - It is required by law for all participating student athletes and at least one parent/guardian to show proof of education about recognizing the signs and symptoms of potentially catastrophic head injuries, concussions and injuries related to second impact syndrome.
