Dear Parents/Guardians of AP Students:
If you recall, we informed you by letter in October, 2019, that the College Board initiated a new policy requiring students to register for AP exam(s) using their online AP Classroom account by November and submit a non-refundable deposit of $40.00 for each exam. It is now time for final payment of each exam. The total cost of the exam is $94.00 per exam.
There are three (3) options available to each student for each exam:
(1) Student registered in November and will take AP Exam If you submitted a $40.00 deposit for an exam in November, the remaining balance of $54.00 per exam is now due. Final payment can be submitted via FAMILYID utilizing PayPal or by cash or check, payable to NEW HOPE-SOLEBURY SCHOOL DISTRICT. (2) Student registered in November and has decided to not take AP Exam If you submitted a $40.00 deposit for an exam in November, and have now decided to not take one or more exams, please notify the Guidance Office in writing which exams you no longer wish to take. Unfortunately, the $40.00 deposit is non-refundable and will be retained by the College Board.
(3) Student DID NOT register in November but has now decided to take AP Exam If you did not submit any deposit in November, but have now decided to take one or more AP exams, the cost of each exam is $134.00 ($94.00 for the exam and a $40.00 fee charged by the College Board). Full payment must be submitted via check or by cash, payable to NEW HOPE-SOLEBURY SCHOOL DISTRICT and given to the guidance office. Please remember that one of the 3 options need to be selected for each exam the student is eligible to take.
Final decisions and payments are due no later than Tuesday, March 10, 2020.
If you have any questions about this matter, please feel free to contact the guidance office at 215-862-8171.
