School Newspaper Mr. W. Bowne
The School Newspaper (The Voyager) is a co-curricular activity whose main mission is to publish the school newspaper. The Voyager, once a month, Students may take the course for three years, starting as sophomores as a Journalism I student. The course is designed for those who love writing, and would love their writing to improve. Students also get real-life experience through in-depth reporting, interviewing, and researching skills. Students also learn Photoshop and Abode InDesign. The school newspaper is a high-profile activity where the whole school, has the ability to read what you write – and have fun while doing so. The Voyager staff is a close-knit staff that acts like a real newsroom, with a variety of duties. Students who do not take the course may still be apart of the activity by coming to our open meetings twice a month.
We meet after school every 2nd and 4th Thursday in Room 605. Times are published on school calendar and on ETV announcements. We publish the paper toward the beginning of each month, starting in October
