All students interested in participating in athletics at Tohickon must have sections 5 and 6 of the PIAA physical form signed by an authorized medical examiner. This form is available at www.cbsd.org. This form must be dated by the medical examiner after June 1, 2017, though the actual physical can be completed prior to this date. Sections 5 and 6 of the physical form must be turned-in to Tohickon's athletic office and/or the respective high school office before a student can participate in a sport. Each family must also register on FamilyID.
If a student participates in another sport during the same school year, they do not need their physical recertified by their physician unless they've suffered a serious injury/illness that caused the student to miss ten (10) days of school; miss 50% of games/contests; or suffer a season ending injury. Otherwise the original physical is valid for the entire school year. Parents must complete section 7 of the physical form for each sequential sport.
With the exception of concussion testing, no 8th graders will be permitted to ride the high school activities shuttles until after Memorial Day, when the majority of spring sports are finished for the high school. After Memorial Day,
8th graders may ride the activities shuttle for sports meetings, conditioning, etc.
