2017-2018 Athletic Registration

Dear Parent or Guardian:

Before a student participates in athletics or co-curricular activities, the student and a parent must complete online registration and sign the included participation agreement. Students are accountable to the rules in place at the time when the participation agreement is signed and submitted. Additional expectations or rules which are unique to a particular sport or activity may be established by the head coach or advisor.

The Junction City School District Board of Directors approved a fee of $160.00 per sport for high school students who wish to participate in athletics. The purpose of the fee is to help offset the high cost of athletics and help make it possible to continue with our present athletic programs. Participation in athletics is an optional, extra-curricular activity.

The policy indicates that no student who meets the District and State eligibility requirements should be excluded from participation due to the financial inability of the student/parent/guardian to pay the fee before a sport season begins.

In fairness to students and parents who do pay, those who qualify for a waiver will pay $85.00, approved for those who qualify for free lunches.
