Boston University’s CityLab SummerLab program is a one-week immersive laboratory experience for high school students to develop a deeper understanding of DNA science.Working in small teams, participants assume the role of researchers in a biotechnology company who design and perform investigations to meet real challenges in biotechnology. Located on Boston University School of Medicine, SummerLab provides students with hands-on laboratory experiences that encourage scientific thinking and creativity, while providing expert guidance and support to help students learn.
SummerLab will run 6 one-week sessions during July and August 2012 and tuition is $1,000 per session; need-based financial assistance is available. Each session runs Monday-Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Both commuters and boarders are welcome. Housing is available on Boston University’s Charles River campus (additional fees apply).
