Plainfield High School is a member of the Union County Athletic Conference. This is one of the most competitive conferences in the state. In 2011, the school’s basketball team won the state championship in their division. The school boasts that it has an Olympic size swimming pool and offers a full array of athletic activities and sports teams. Fall and spring sports programs are conducted at the Hub Stine Sports Complex situated on 22 acres. Hub Stine houses a 400-meter track, football stadium, baseball diamond, training fields, sixteen lighted tennis courts, locker facilities and trainers’ room. A complete equipped weight room is located at the high school. Athletic programs are designed to produce scholar athletes and to build each student’s character, integrity and self-discipline.
