The Interscholastic Athletic Program is an integral part of the education process at the Marcus Whitman Central School District and an important part of student life. Participation can and should be a significant contributor to student development. Our goal is to develop a competitive athletic program, in addition to fostering the educational values such as sportsmanship, health/wellness and scholastic achievement. The number one priority of the Marcus Whitman Central School District is to educate the whole child, first by stimulating the intellect academically and then by providing a number of common experiences designed to develop the social, physical and ethical values necessary to be a productive member of society. Extra-curricular programs help provide such experiences and thus are considered an integral part of our school's curriculum. In reality, they are an extension of the classroom.
