Jamestown RI PTO

Promote the best interests of children at home and in school!

The mission of the Jamestown Parent Teacher Organization is to promote the best interests of children at home and in school through the shared cooperation of families and teachers. A non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, the PTO was established to provide educational resources, enrichment, and support to students, parents, and teachers of Jamestown’s schools.

We'll be using this site to collect registrations for our events throughout the year. While a registration is not necessary to attend events, it plays a critical role in preparing and organizing the events. Please help us help you!

At any point in the year, the PTO greatly appreciates your monetary support to keep all the great programming going!

Anyone can support the PTO by:

  • Making a financial contribution

  • Attending our meetings on the third Wednesday of each month.

  • Volunteering time to help with our  programs/events/projects

What does my donation go towards?

  • funding to teachers for classroom supplies, special projects & books

  • field trips

  • cultural arts & enrichment assemblies (e.g. science programs, social programs)  that broaden students’ learning

  • family activities like movie and Bingo nights, book fairs, a dance & more

  • parent information seminars, teacher appreciation week gifts & luncheon

  • an ice cream social for incoming military families

  • the 6th grade’s annual trip to Alton Jones, the 7th grade’s annual overnight trip to the Boston Museum of Science & the 8th grade’s annual trip to Washington D.C., lowering family costs
