The mission of the HF-L Athletic Program is to provide opportunities for our students to strive for excellence by creating an educational and competitive experience within an atmosphere of sportsmanship. We believe that interscholastic athletics can and should enhance the character of our students. Athletics provide an educational opportunity in which students can learn essential life lessons, beyond those that can be learned in the academic classroom. We believe the combination of athletics and academics enhances the quality of students' lives and expands their options for learning and growth.
Athletes and Families,
Many of you have asked about the status of spring sports. We continue to be on a pause as we as a community work together to defeat COVID-19. Please follow the guidelines provided by the CDC. Be sure to:
1. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
2. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
3. Stay home when you are sick.
4. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
5. Practice social distancing.
The more we all are committed to following these guidelines, the better chance of returning to school and activity. For the most current district information visit:
We will continue to communicate updates as they become available. I have attached the latest communication from NYSPHSAA Executive Director, Robert Zayes, regarding spring sports: https://www.hflcsd.org/UserFil...
Looking forward to seeing everyone soon. Stay in shape, stay focused, stay tuned, and most importantly stay well.
